Connor and I, Jamie, are the loving dog parents of Mac ('McKinley'). We adopted him in early June, 2014, from the amazing GRCGLAR in Southern California. Mac was used as a guard dog (if you can believe it!) in the parking lot of a Korean church for the first 10 years of his life. He is just over 11.5 years old, but you would never guess it!

Mac developed a limp mid-March 2015. The cancer was missed by our normal vet via x-ray, so in mid-April we took Mac to a specialist. The devastating diagnosis of Osteosarcoma was delivered to us and on April 29, 2015, Mac became a Tripawd.

Mac received 4 rounds of Carboplatin and finished his fourth round on July 28, 2015 with minimal to zero side effects. His scans in early July were clear, so we are very optimistic about Mac's recovery and journey.

We are infinitely grateful for ALL of the support we have received from Tripawds, and we hope by keeping Mac's blog up-to-date with pictures, videos, and other relevant updates, we can help other 'pawrents' making this tough decision for their family members.
